There will be a signing this Saturday, November 17, at the Lawrence County Public Library in Lawrenceburg, TN. I hope all my friends and family will stop by and say hello, get your book signed, and/or buy a book and have it signed. There will be 3 other authors signing also.
I am so pleased to be able to be in my hometown for this event. Thank you Teresa Newton and Lawrence Co Library. If you live in that area, make sure you let others know that might not be on FB that I will be there. Call classmates and family to come by. I am almost completely through with "Bad Blood". I have editors chomping at the bits for me to get it to them so we can have a January release date. I will push myself hard the next week and they will take most of December editing and sending portions of it back to me to RE-DO, I am sure. :) See you Saturday, Lawrence County People. Hugs, Ann

This is the season dedicated to Thankfulness. I love seeing people's "30 days of Thankful" posts on FB. Some, like me, have not had the time or inclination to post them, but have not failed to make my thankful heart be known to God.
I met with some family members this week from Springfield, MO and we ate together and laughed out way through about 3 hours at a restaurant. LOL. They brought along Mary's daughter, Mindy. Loved meeting her!!! We talked about family stories, some of which will be slipped into my books, Bad Blood and Sorrow. Sam and I have loved our first week "retired". It still feels like a vacation though and not quite real. Of course I am still working...both in my field of work and my writing...but those are both fun and I do not mind at all. Hope that the next time I write, I will be giving you a LARGE number of words written on BAD BLOOD, and say it is at the point of sending to the editor. I am "chomping at the bits" to finish and start the next one. : ) Hugs, Ann I cannot say enough good things about the Smithville Arts and Crafts Fair they had this past Saturday. I met the most wonderful people and signed more books that I could have even hoped for. It was one of the largest turnouts I have ever had to buy books and getting to sign them. I met some super nice ladies from the Smithville area that have a book club and they took a book and even sent one lady back to get more information about me. I would love to come and talk with them after they read the book and meet all their ladies.
It was back to Chattanooga Saturday afteroon for the first birthday of one of grandsons and then we left for Branson for a short visit. It is beautiful here and they are all decked out for Christmas on the lakefront area. Decorations and Christmas music are everywhere. I am going to get in some more writing to finish up "Bad Blood" and then its off to the publisher that I talked to this weekend. She is ready to start on it. Yippee!!!! Hugs. Ann |
