After a short break and vacation time with my husband....

Today I spent a little time in Morganton, NC (Burke Co) at the library. Making a terribly long story a little shorter, and FYI, I made tentative connections to talk to a genealogy group in the near future.

I was on a search where my grandparents moved and what their lives were like when they left Clifton, SC after the flood (readers of Sorrow will understand). We know it was in Morganton and, by virtue of their acquired experience with textile mills, they probably worked in one of several textile mills in Burke County, NC. In my discussion with a lady in the library, I learned that in the first Hunger Games you find the young girl living in a run down home. (I'm pretty sure it's obvious I did not see or read the Hunger Games!!!). These scene were shot in Burke County at a decaying textile mill.   Thought you Might enjoy that tidbit!!! Ok...now it seems I will HAVE to watch them!!! LOL!!!!
