The Smell of Green

Did you know green has a smell?   Neither did I until i left Oklahoma City and traveled though the panhandle of Texas and into New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah, and then I came Back to Green in Eastern Oklahoma. It's the smell of freshly cut grass or hay, trailing honeysuckle on a fence and hedge blooming profusely in the fence row.  It's green apples on the tree and pine needles waving in the wind. I love the smell of Green!!

I did not think of missing the smell of green returning from our trips West. I felt overwhelmed comingnback to trees, grass, etc. crowding the roadside after being in vast open blue sky space.
